Best travel #moments and #memories

If life is a collection of memories and moments, this past year runneth over.  As I chart my year ahead and think about where I want to travel, I remind myself that it is the split-second moments of great fun and joy that we remember the most. It is not about the destination as much as living in the moment wherever that may take you.  From Nevis to Boston to California to Madrid, these are my absolute best travel moments in random order.

Cheers to #MakingMemories in 2016!

Cheers to #MakingMemories in 2016!

  1. Drinks in the Bahamas.  There is nothing like the first day of vacation anywhere. But then you add a glass of chardonnay in the Bahamas and well it just doesn’t get any better than that.  One of Jack’s first trips and one that we will cherish forever.

  2. Mum’s Lobster Rolls.  I grew up 40 minutes South of Boston and my Mum still lives in the same house I grew up in.  She had us over for homemade Lobster Rolls and potato salad. Delicious!

    Pooltime in Nevis

  3. Nevis.  This small island in the Caribbean has enormous amount of hospitality and grace. We LOVED this beautiful spot!

    Mount Pilatus Switzerland

  4. Mount Pilatus, Switzerland.  We took the world’s steepest cog rail to the Summit of Mount Pilatus and the view was breathtaking.

    Mission Chinese NYC

  5. Dining Solo at Mission Chinese NYC.  I have attempted to eat here three times and each time it didn’t work out partly because the restaurant closed down for a little awhile.  It was well worth the wait and I loved every second of this San Francisco-born foodie destination in NYC.

Shopping with Kerry and Elle in NYC

  6. Christmas Shopping NYC with these beauties!  Love soaking in the holiday atmosphere in NYC with some of my most precious and adored friends.

    Boston Public Garden

  7. Boston Public Garden. Growing up South of Boston, I rarely came into the city to do the “tourist stuff.” This time we did and it was a blast.

  8. Eating my way through Barcelona: Tapas. Sangria. Repeat.

    Chatham, Cape Cod

  9. Chatham.  I grew up going to this Cape Cod seaside town and going back is going home.

    Laguna California

  10. Laguna, CA.  The view in Laguna was spectacular and my first trip ever to the OC.

  1. You should consider going to England. I’ve made over 20 trips to England since 1985 and have developed many wonderful relationships. Please let me know if you’d ever like to talk about my thoughts. #anglophile
